Purenti
Many thanks to our staff: CableZ and Karel for helping make this island guide.
Many thanks to our staff: CableZ and Karel for helping make this island guide.
This island is centuries old, and as shrouded in mystery as the depths of space and the deepest oceans. The island itself is a few hundred miles across and consists of one main stretch of land with dotting islands around it's coast line.
Because of Pureti's age and history, thousands of Pokemon have called it home and continue to live there to this day. There's as much diversity here as there are cloud shapes in the sky--never two faces alike. And although the population numbers have been dwindling, Purenti continues to be a vibrant, lively place, and will be no matter how long the days draw on.
Purenti is isolated from the rest of the world. Not only is it lost in the middle of a vast ocean, but it's also protected in the eye of a mega storm. This storm rages far off the coast of Purenti, and makes getting to this island nearly impossible by any human or Pokemon. Only the skilled, ambitious, and pure of heart can make it through the raging waters to get into the safe haven labeled 'Purenti'
This mega storm wasn't always around. Millions of years ago, back when Pokemon training was a new consept and species only worked together through a tight bond, the island used to house a megalopolis. This at-the-time high-tech city soon came subject to war and tratorism--driving itself into the ground in record time. Godly entities saw this, and banished all life from the island of Purenti, only letting the innocent and of good intentions inhabit it after the wipe. Ever since then, humans have forgotten everything about Purenti, leaving Pokemon the only creatures to walk along Purenti's sandy coasts.

Denber Fields
A hillside meadow that surrounds a large blue water lake. A long time ago while the humans still inhabited Purenti they crafted a small village here. Denber Field is a very peaceful place and at night many Illumise and Volbeat light up the lake, making it shine and glimmer like a mirror to heaven.
Its been noted that the lake Denber Field surrounds is prone to flooding, making it a double edged sword for Pokemon who live around it. Because of the human's choice of building houses inside the steep hills most of them have died when the lake flooded for the very first time. Because of this Pokemon have become weary of stepping inside the huts.
Marie village:
A small cluster of huts carved into the face of a hill side. And even when the humans have long since died off the Pokemon still refuse to inhabit the cave houses, afraid that the swelled lake may flood again and trap them inside.
On the right of the village is a large crop farm overrun by weeds and thistles, but every summer it will still grow lines of sunflowers that overrun the whole field. Back when humans tilled the soil they used to grow crops of every sort, and if you look hard enough you might be able to find a lone tomato plant, or a few bean stalks.
Ravine:
A large crack covering a quarter of the entire island, it passes right next to Marie Village and just narrowly misses the field of sunflowers. There's a small slope leading down to the bottom witch is a good couple miles down from the earths surface. Many Zubat inhabit the ravine, making travailing down the slope a little difficult as they have a tendency to flock towards any other Pokemon they can find.
Shaymin Hills:
A beautiful hillside that stretches around the remainder of the field. Its cloaked in different hues of flowers and rumor has it that once a year the alluring and mystical Shaymin's use this as a sacred meeting place. The fact however was never confirmed as the flowers in this field are amazingly thick and weaved together, allowing any Pokemon who enters complete coverage.
Mt. Ridgit
An ancient dormant volcano, Mt Ridigt covers almost all of the island. Made mostly of red stone, the mountain towers far above any other peak on the island, offering a view of the entire land, it's subset isles, and even the storm that rages far off the coast of the safe haven: Purenti.
The mountain has a large path that curves and spirals all the way up to the top, and is often traversed by Pokemon as a test of strength, for if they can best the powerful winds and steep walk, they will be shown the greatest reward of a view. Around the mountain are a few smaller hills and mountains that make up the main base of the great peak.
Mountain Peak:
The very top of Purenti, and the closest you can get to reaching the heavens from the island. At the very top there is a flat area, being around 10 meters in diameter, offering the most amazing views possible on the island. And because of the Purenti's odd weather patterns, the peak is always a perfect calm.
Mine Shaft #1:
Part of a large mining complex, the true extent of these mines are still unknown, with only those who reside in the dark of these mine shafts truly knowing their depths. This shaft houses jewels and evolutions stones that have been dug up by humans during their time on the island. Only those brave enough to explore the murky depths will find them.
Monster Den:
Mid-way up Mt. Ridgit lies a large cavernous entrance to the hollow center of the titan volcano that has long since become dormant and inactive. This cave mentioned in human folklore is said to house an ancient hibernating Pokemon, but this is unconfirmed due to the cavern's sheer size and gloominess. Many Pokemon who enjoy solitude call this place home.
Thick Forest
This is the only part of the island that has never received a real name by the once great humans, as they have forbid most citizens to enter it's sacred presence. The forest itself is a mismatch of many different types of trees, all of them twisting and growing in different ways. Once you step inside the canopy above has become to tangled that it's almost pitch black.
The forest covers most of the south western part of the island, and has been the home to the majority of the island's Pokemon.
Murky Clearing:
A largish clearing near the northern area of the forest where fog seems to collect, its hard to tell why this happens. Its said that this is the home to a legendary Pokemon, but it's hard to imagine what might have lived here as it's impossible to see anything other than clear, smooth, grassy land.
Rushing Creek:
One of the largest rivers of Purenti cuts through this area, providing nourishment for all the plants around it. While this is one of the more life filled areas of the forest, the jagged sharp rocks and speed of the water make this a dangerous place for the weak and feeble. Crossing it is a perilous task and many have been dragged out to sea because of it. The creek cuts through most of the southern section of the forest, before returning to the ocean.
Burial Grounds:
In the middle of the forest, in a artificial glade, there is a land full of eroded stone graves. Mostly in the style of Ar'tay's architecture. Here are buried the humans and their Pokémon companions, which once lived in this place. Due to centuries old nature of the civilization, the burial site is filled of crumbling graves, tokens of the civilization's evolution.
A series of proudly erected and sculpted monoliths used as the tombs of Ar'tay's emperors, overlook the serene place, displaying the greatness, wealth, and solemness of the area. Whilst the ghosts of departed Pokémon adorned of antique paraphernalia and jewels watch over their trainer's graves.
Ar'tay Ruins
Back when humans roamed the island the city of Ar'tay was a world wide famous trading post and vacation spot. There wasn't a person alive who hasn't dreamed of visiting it. But now as the structures crumble the city of Ar'tay is nothing more then a decade old legend.
Gym:
Back in the day, Ar'tay used to house one of the few Steal Type gyms in existence. The Gym building itself has held up remarkably well and the Pokemon now native to Purenti use it as a huge training ground, the strongest Pokemon around is normally leader here and serves as what the humans would call 'Gym Leader'
City Center:
Age has made the center of Ar'tay nothing more then a clearing filled with cobble fragments and old broken merchandise. It's an amazing place for rock types to play, but others should watch out for crumbling buildings.
Residences:
The crumbling yet still resistant houses in Ar'tay ruins make great homes for larger Pokemon. On occasion an accident may happen but most of the time the buildings here are sturdy enough for proper housing. Not to mention there are millions of abandoned houses here with furniture and memories still intact.
River Rapids
A wide river around seven tail-lengths in width splits the island of Purenti into two moderately sized halves. Slipping in this river will push a Pokemon out to sea quicker then they can get back up again. So it's best to watch your step, especially since you never know who might have made these rapid waters their home.
Tatterfalls:
The Tatterfalls, properly named for their beautiful pools streaming down in steams that look a lot liked tattered cloth. Is located halfway through the Thick Forest. It's a popular area for young Pokemon to play around with in the company of their parent supervisor.
Celestial Orchard:
Located close to the western shore, the Celestial Orchard is a real piece of art. It's been rumored that years ago this was home to three legendary Ogres who brought temperature change and havoc to the land. If you're lucky and patient you might just see off phenomenons happen over night. In Summer, it might snow. And in the late of winter the beautiful violet flowers growing here might melt away the ice.
Craggy Shore:
Down near one of the large lakes on Purenti is a rocky coast that's teaming with gems of all sorts. This location is more abundant in gems, pearls, and evolutions stones then the mines. If you're lucky, a trip here might make you wealthier then the humans who once roamed it.
Twisted Cavern
The entrance to this deep, underground corridor is at the base of Purenti's volcano. It's hard to spot and even harder to enter with the entrance being a bit on the tight side. And once you enter, it's near impossible to get out without finding another a place to turn around. It's very easy to get lost in this tunnel system. Back when the humans were new on Purenti they using these caverns as a 'right of coming' test for young men.Underground Lake:
The second largest lake in all of Purenti is located miles underground, but venturing this deep is worth the adventure. This un-named lake is lit up with all sorts of exotic life that you hardly need sunlight to see it's heavenly being (although you might need light to find it).
Hell's Gate:
If you take the wrong turn while in the Twisted Cavern you might find yourself somewhere the humans called 'Hell's Gate'. It's at the end of a particularly long corridor that ends with a cavern just big enough for a few Pokemon to stand in. It's pitch black here but makes an amazing mining spot.
Moonlit Cavern:
The Moonlit Cavern is directly underneath the island's center. At night something is triggered that makes the whole cave light up in silver glow. Although few venture this far down rumor has it that in the middle of this cavern lies a stone that allows certain Pokemon to evolve.
Greener Beach
The sandy beaches wrap all around the outer skirts of Purenti. The sand here is rich in minerals and almost appears stark white. Shells of all sorts can be found on the coast line, and on occasion some human artifacts might wash up here as well.Sandy Plane:
On the far southern plane of Purenti there is a strip of sand that wraps around the bottom of the island. For miles it contains only sand even when the tide is in. Here is the best place to hunt for shells or other treasures.
Palm Tree Boulevard:
Thousands of old vacation shacks have been left here from the time when humans walked the shores. It's rare to find one of these unoccupied as Pokemon find them extremely comfortable homes compared to other options.
Along there shores here grow tall very fertile Palm trees that produce coconuts for consumption daily.
Sunken Cove:
The Sunken Cove is something that sounds like it could have came straight out of an old fable. When the tide is out Pokemon can enter what appears to be an old tribal cave. The walls are etched with drawings of humans and Pokemon alike that have been smoothed overtime. If read in chronological order it plays out the story of a legendary beast and a human who befriends it.
Dry Canvas
Left of Mt. Ridgit lies a wasteland of dry cracked ground. Not many Pokemon live here as the harsh heat drives many back to the cools of the forests and lakes. Even the humans seemed to have left this area pretty much untouched.Shadow Abyss:
If you're not careful one might fall directly into a giant, seemingly bottomless pit. The Shadow Abyss comes out of nowhere and looks as if someone drove a giant pencil straight through the ground. Nobody has been able to touch the bottom and live to tell the tale.
Oasis:
This fruitful oasis is the only speck of water a Pokemon will see living in the Dry Canvas. It's roughly placed right in the middle of the desert and only has enough room to host a few Pokemon at a time. But aside from that this oasis grows many rare fruits found nowhere else on Purenti, or even the world.
Cracked Wasteland:
Of all the Dry Canvas, this stretch of land has taken the heat the worst. Setting foot on it can instantly burn your skin. If a Pokemon isn't accustomed to heat the only way they can explore this area is at night where it still retains a painful burn.
