Yami (Absol)

Yami is quite the handsome Absol. He's lithe and thin, and his body is covered in small muscles that are hidden away by his fur.

Yami has multiple battle scars that adorn his body; however, these can rarely be seen unless his fur gets wet. Otherwise, the length of his fur conceals them from the eyes of others.

-- full moons - They calm him, and he loves to stay up during the nights of a full moon. He can sometimes be found sleeping the day away just so he can stay up at night. Sleep during the day of a full moon tends to be some of the best sleep he has for the entire month.
-- winter - He enjoys the cold since his coat is rather... Fluffy. Yami loves everything about winter, from the cooler temperatures to the snow that camouflages him. If it weren't for his horn, tail, and face, he would easily blend into the snow and never be seen again.
-- relaxation - Who doesn't like to relax? He loves finding a quiet spot to let the stress drain from his body. If he doesn't get at least one day to relax during the week, his mood will drop lower than it normally is.
-- spicy foods - It's just his preference. His tongue can tolerate even the hottest of berries or seasonings.

-- sweet foods - Don't even try to get him to eat sweets. He would rather eat a rock. Even the smallest trace of sugar will make him spit whatever it is out.
-- summer - Too much heat is horrible for a Pokemon covered in thick fur. During the summer, he always looks for a shady spot, perhaps a cave, or a pond, if he can't find anything else to cool off with.
-- rain - He doesn't like getting his fur soaked as it reveals more of him than he would like. He always makes sure that nobody is around when he needs to bathe, and swimming is out of the question unless he has absolutely no choice.
-- friends - He's afraid of getting hurt, them getting hurt, and the worry, pain, and sorrow that would come from it.

-- finding himself - Yami has been simply going through the motions for a while. He wants to find his place in the world.

-- foretell - Just like any other Absol, he was born with the ability to sense natural disasters with his horn.
-- mountain climbing - Having grown up in the mountains, Yami has had many years to build up this skill. He can climb up mountains and other rocky surfaces with ease.
-- strength - His kind has the highest attack stat of any non-legendary Pokemon who does not evolve.
-- medicine - His mother taught him when he was very young about different medical herbs and berries, whether they were native to the mountains or not.

-- defense - While his attack may be high, his defense is too low for his liking. He is better with offence than he is defense.
-- singing - He has a wonderful voice, but, while singing, his Perish Song will often times kick in. He has yet to get a good grasp on the song.
-- socialization - He's not one for conversing. His Pokemon skills are horribly low, and he never knows what to do when confronted or put in difficult situations.
-- trust - He's as loyal as they come, but he has a hard time trusting others. He'll help others, but he will always watch them out of the corners of his eyes to make sure they don't try anything.

-- relationships - Due to his trust issues, he is always afraid that he will end up hurt, or he would end up hurting the other. He tries his hardest not to form any sort of feeling towards another Pokemon. If he does, he never knows what to do with it.
-- death - Most are afraid of death, and Yami is no exception. He's afraid of dying, though he is most afraid of those he cares about dying. It makes him feel helpless to think that he might not be able to protect those he accidentally grows close to.

Yami is the 'strong, silent type'. He doesn't say much, and he keeps a straight face through just about everything. Expressing emotions is as foreign as a Kanto Pokemon to Unova. He finds himself struggling more often than not when around other Pokemon, so he tends to stay away from others. This doesn't mean he dislikes Pokemon. It's quite the opposite. He's just... Not used to them. Growing up in the mountains, he is used to solitude. Being around so many other Pokemon can easily give him a headache, and not knowing what to do with others doesn't help him. He gets flustered really easily, though he tends to keep it hidden rather well. One of the signs of him being flustered is when he turns his head to the side, trying to look anywhere but at the one he is talking to.

Yami is a very loyal Absol. It takes a long time to work your way into his heart, and his trust issues are only one of the many obstacles Pokemon will face. Once inside, however, it's all worth it. He becomes most willing to come at your call, and he would do almost anything for those he finds himself liking. He still finds it hard to show emotion around those he can consider 'friends' (a term he doesn't like using since it makes him antsy), but he can at least slip a smile here and there.
